Two projects implemented by the Executive Agency Exploration and Maintenance of the Danube River - Danube Sediment_Q2 and Danube Water Balance, funded under the INTERREG Danube Region 2021-2027 programme, were presented during a site visit to one of the most critical sections of the river - Belene Island. During the presentation, sediment samples from the Danube River were taken using equipment and will be subjected to analysis. Among the guests of the event were representatives of different stakeholders - various administrations whose activities are directly related to the Danube River. The presentation of the two projects was part of the EAEMDR initiatives dedicated to the International Danube Day, which is celebrated on June 29.
