- Project scope:

- Providing depths for navigation in the Bulgarian section for maintenance from rkm 610 to rkm 375 of the Danube under the 1949 Convention regarding the regime of navigation on the Danube, Agreement between Bulgaria and Romania on the maintenance and improvement of the fairway in BG-RO section of the Danube river from 1955 and the recommendations of the Danube Commission.
- Deepening port harbours, natural or man-made firths, as well as approaches to all of the above.
- Project activities:

- Implementation of a tender procedure for the selection of a contractor for the delivery of floating dredging equipment and floating pipes for the transport of sediments.
- Delivery of floating dredging equipment and floating pipes.
- Project management, monitoring and publicity.
- Expected results:

- Creating conditions for the implementation of the international arrangements for improvement of the navigation conditions in the Bulgarian section of the Danube in the context of the Convention on the navigation of the Danube river - 1948, Agreement between the Governments of the Republic of Bulgaria and Romania on the maintenance and improvement the Fairway in the Bulgarian-Romanian section of the Danube River in 1956, Memorandum of Understanding on the Development of the Pan-European Transport Corridor VII / Danube River - 2002 and the Act on sea spaces, inland waterways and ports of the Republic of Bulgaria.
- Reduce the number of critical sections with depths below 25 dm.
- Increasing the rate of provision of the fairway (on a multiannual basis) according to the recommendations of the Danube Commission.
- The reduced number of critical limiting depths will contribute to normal traffic of goods, passengers on the water and trends to increase them.
